‏ Psalms 17:4-5

4With regard to the works of man, by the word of your lips
I have avoided the ways of the violent.
5My steps have aheld fast to your paths;
my feet have not slipped.

5I dhate the assembly of evildoers,
and I will not sit with the wicked.

4 eDo not let my heart incline to any evil,
to busy myself with wicked deeds
in company with men who fwork iniquity,
and glet me not eat of their delicacies!

10My son, if sinners hentice you,
do not consent.
11If they say, “Come with us, ilet us lie in wait for blood;
jlet us ambush the innocent without reason;
12like Sheol let us kswallow them alive,
and whole, like lthose who go down to the pit;
13we shall find all precious goods,
we shall fill our houses with plunder;

we will all have one purse”—
15my son, mdo not walk in the way with them;
nhold back your foot from their paths,
16for otheir feet run to evil,
and they make haste to shed blood.
17 pFor in vain is a net spread
in the sight of any bird,
18but these men qlie in wait for their own blood;
they rset an ambush for their own lives.
19 sSuch are the ways of everyone who is tgreedy for unjust gain;
uit takes away the life of its possessors.

‏ Proverbs 4:14-17

14 vDo not enter the path of the wicked,
and do not walk in the way of the evil.
15Avoid it; do not go on it;
turn away from it and pass on.
16For they wcannot sleep unless they have done wrong;
they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble.
17For they eat the bread of wickedness
xand drink the wine of violence.

aband walk in the way of insight.”
